Find Your Perfect Fit

South Asian garments are sized differently to Western clothing. Use this guide to find your ideal fit across all Behuli collections — kurti sets, sarees, lehengas, and jewellery.

How to Measure

Use a soft measuring tape and measure directly over your undergarments for the most accurate fit. Ask someone to help for back measurements.

Bust
Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.

Waist
Measure around your natural waist — the narrowest part of your torso, usually 2–3 cm above your navel.

Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, usually 18–22 cm below your natural waist.

Length
Measured from the highest point of the shoulder down to the hemline of the garment.

South Asian sizing runs smaller than Australian sizes
If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up. South Asian garments are designed with a traditional silhouette — choose the size that fits your largest measurement. For fitted kurthas, go true to size; for flowy styles like palazzo suits and anarkalis, you can go down one size.

Bangle Sizes

Measure your hand circumference at the widest point (across the knuckles) while holding your fingers together. This is your bangle size.

How to measure for bangles
Hold your fingers together and bent slightly inward (as if sliding on a bangle). Measure around the widest part of your hand. Divide by π (3.14) to get the diameter — that's your bangle size number. If between sizes, go up one — bangles cannot be resized.
Earrings & Jewellery

All Behuli earrings, necklace sets and maang tikkas are One Size unless stated otherwise.

Earrings
All earrings are One Size. Weights are listed in each product description — jhumkas range from 8–25g per pair. If you have sensitive ears, look for our gold-plated surgical steel posts.

Necklace Sets
Chain length is listed per product (typically 40–45 cm with a 5 cm extender). All necklace sets include matching earrings unless stated otherwise.

Maang Tikka
Tikka chains are adjustable. The pendant drop length is listed in each product. Hair clip attachment fits most hair thicknesses.
Sizing Tips

Always size up when in doubt
South Asian garments are designed with a traditional fit. If you're between sizes, the larger size will almost always look better and feel more comfortable.

Silk runs smaller
Our silk kurti sets and saree blouses have less stretch than cotton or chiffon. If you're a size M in cotton, consider L in silk for the same comfort.

Measure, don't guess
Your favourite jeans might be a size 12, but your actual measurements are what matters. Spend 2 minutes measuring — it prevents 99% of returns.

Height matters for length
If you're under 160 cm, long anarkalis and palazzo suits may need hemming. If over 175 cm, check the listed garment length before ordering.

Wash care affects fit
Most Behuli garments are dry clean or hand wash only. Cotton blends may shrink slightly — size up by one if you plan to machine wash.
