Our most important fit tip: kurtis are normally worn slightly loose rather than tight. A little ease helps the fabric drape beautifully and keeps you comfortable when sitting, walking and celebrating. If you are between sizes, choose the larger size.

Before you begin
Measure over the undergarments you plan to wear with your kurti.
The tape should touch your body without squeezing it.
Breathe normally, keep your feet together and do not hold your stomach in.
How to measure for a kurti set
The diagram below shows the five measurements most often used for kurtis. Tap each step to open the instructions as you work through them.
A · Bust
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, usually across the bust points. Keep it parallel to the floor across your back. The tape should be snug, never tight, with enough room to slide one finger underneath.
B · Natural waist
Measure the narrowest part of your torso, usually 2–3 cm above your navel. Bend gently to one side to find the natural crease if you are unsure. Relax and breathe normally.
C · Hips and seat
Stand with your feet together and wrap the tape around the fullest part of your hips and seat, usually 18–22 cm below the natural waist. Check in a mirror that the tape is level all the way around.
D · Sleeve length
Start at the shoulder seam and follow the outside of your arm to the point where you want the sleeve to finish. Keep your elbow softly bent rather than locked straight.
E · Full kurti length
Place the tape at the highest point of your shoulder beside the neck and measure straight down to your preferred hemline. If you are under 158 cm or over 178 cm, compare this with the garment length in the product description.

These are body measurements. Start with your largest measurement and choose the first size that comfortably accommodates it.
Three golden rules for choosing your size
- Let your largest measurement lead. If your bust points to M but your hips point to L, start with L.
- Choose ease over squeeze. Pull lines, tight armholes and stretched embroidery all mean you should size up.
- Consider the fabric. Silk and heavily embroidered kurtis have less give than cotton or chiffon, so a little extra room is especially helpful.
Frequently asked fit questions
Should a kurti fit tightly?
No. Most kurtis look and move best with a little ease through the bust, waist and hips. Choose a comfortable, slightly loose fit rather than one that clings.
What if I am between sizes?
Choose the larger size. A little extra room can be altered more easily than a garment that is too tight, and the roomier size will usually drape better.
